About AmCham Vietnam - Hanoi Chapter
AmCham Hanoi is a voluntary, non-political, not-for-profit membership organization that is funded entirely by our membership and activities. The organization does not receive any financial assistance from the United States Government or the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington DC. The primary missions of AmCham Vietnam are to (1) promote American business in Vietnam, providing support and assistance to American companies, and (2) to assist in implementing the normalization of relations between the United States and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam by presenting a united American business voice to the main decision makers in all branches of the governments of the United States and of Vietnam.
AmCham Vietnam is an organziation with two chapters, one in Hanoi with 180 member companies and one in Ho Chi Minh City with over 300 member companies and over 500 representatives.
AmCham Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City chapter has 320 member and associate companies with nearly 600 representatives, based in Vietnam’s commercial and industrial center. The “Southern Economic Zone” represents over one-third of the GDP of Vietnam, and this share is expected to increase to 40 percent by 2010.
