Douglas Miller, Vice President, Boeing International - Chairman, AmCham Singapore

Mr Miller is Vice President-Asia Pacific Operations, Business Development, for the Boeing International Corporation, of The Boeing Company. Named to this position in October 1997 after the merger of Boeing and McDonnell Douglas, he is responsible for representing Boeing and its products in the Asia Pacific region.

He joined McDonnell Douglas in 1970 as a senior engineer and progressed through senior engineering, program management, and business development positions leading up to his current assignment.

Mr Miller replaces Ms Amy M Adams, Managing Director, Cummins Inc, who stepped down as Chairman on April 12 as she will be relocating to Europe.

Mr. Miller said his priority as Chairman would be to ensure business here continued to be part of the growth story of Asia.

“We will refocus the Chamber to take advantage of the dynamism and enormous potential for business in the region. I want to make sure our members continue to capitalize on and contribute to the economic growth and opportunity in Singapore and Asia” he explained

“We will continue to devote our energies to the key areas of advocacy, information, and networking” he said. “Our main objective will be to develop an even keener understanding of the needs of our current and prospective members and how best to meet those needs to ensure we remain responsive, relevant and key partners to our business community”.

AmCham Vietnam - Hanoi

AmCham Vietnam’s Hanoi Chapter was established in 1994 by a handful of members. Today there are nearly 200 members companies, including financial services, architecture and construction, manufacturing, information communications technologies, logistics, and NGO development organizations.
